Ministry Description – IYM is a combined ministry of Christ Church, UCC – Ft. Thomas, KY; St. John UCC – Bellevue, KY; and St. John’s UCC – Newport, KY working together for the faith and spiritual formation of middle school and high school youth.

Position Summary:
The candidate for this position will be responsible for developing, organizing, supervising and coordinating the youth programs of IYM. The candidate shall seek to foster Christian community through building relationships with young people and adults in the participating churches that strengthen their commitment to the church and growth in faith in Jesus Christ. Primary programming is on Wednesday evenings.

Example of Responsibilities:
Develop a holistic program for youth, participate in planning and leading confirmation program with local pastors, mission projects, Bible studies, leadership development, oversee all publicity, outreach to inactive youth, parent programs and special events, attend monthly Youth Advisory Board (YAB) meetings, etc.

Job Type:
Salaried position; equivalent of 10 hours per week; Salary range: up to $250 per week; salary commensurate with experience. Persons who are ordained or on track to be ordained in the UCC or a partner denomination are preferred, however, qualified non-ordained persons may be considered.
